Beyoncé has now reached the halfway mark towards achieving EGOT status with her inaugural Emmy win.

This week, she received an Emmy for the "Beyoncé Bowl" halftime performance. To attain EGOT recognition, she still requires a Tony and an Oscar.

In addition to her Emmy, Beyoncé boasts 35 Grammys.

Legally known as Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, she was part of a small team recognized for outstanding costumes in a variety, nonfiction, or reality show for the "Beyoncé Bowl," her Western-themed halftime show featured during Netflix’s Christmas NFL game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans.

The event, held in her hometown of Houston, marked the live debut of tracks from her album "Cowboy Carter."

This Emmy is a significant milestone for Beyoncé, being her first win after 10 previous nominations without a victory. It brings her halfway to EGOT status alongside her 35 Grammys.

To complete the prestigious quartet, she still needs to secure a Tony and an Oscar. The award was part of a select group of juried Emmys announced on Tuesday, which are determined outside the standard voting process and awarded by committees without official nominees. These awards typically focus on highly technical aspects—many relate to specific elements of the animation process—and seldom go to well-known figures. They are revealed ahead of time and presented at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony next month.
